Totton and Eling Town Council

Allotments

Gardening is a fantastic way to be involved with the great outdoors - it's a good way to take light exercise, to be involved with nature, to watch the seeds that you sow grow into mature plants, and, what's more, you get to eat lovely fresh fruit and vegetables as a reward!

The Town Council has four allotment sites:

Salmon Leap site has 110 plots and is situated at the end of Testwood Lane.

Compton Park site has 56 plots and is situated off Hammonds Lane.

Water Lane has 109 plots and is situated halfway down Water Lane.

Foxhills has 29 plots and is in the Ashurst Bridge area.

The cost of an allotment in 2008 is £2.06 per rod – a rod is approx. 30.25 square yards, and a typical allotment consists of approx. 5 rods.

Due to the increase in popularity of allotment gardening we have no plots vacant at present. If you wish to add your name to the waiting list, please e-mail the following address giving details of your name, address, contact number and state which site you are interested in.
