Youth Facilities

Young people in Totton and Eling gain a great deal from their involvement in a wide range of positive activities in their leisure time. Below are examples of opportunities available to young people in the area. 

The Garage Youth Centre - Eling Recreation Ground, Eling, Totton. Run by Totton and Eling Town Council - Offers Free Membership to young people ages between 9 - 16 years.
Open both in term time and through school holidays periods on,
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5.00pm - 8.30pm and
Saturday from 12.00pm - 4.30pm. Opening days and times can vary - please contact direct or check our website for details.

The Garage Team of Youth Workers are qualified in a range of skills to provide a safe structured environment for young people to socalise, be healthy and stay safe. We offer the opportunity
to develop new skills by providing access to a wide variety of
equipment, organised activities, workshops, sports, personal
support and involvement in community events. Our members
can access these opportunity at their own discretion and level to suit their personal needs.

Free and confidential information, advice and counselling for young people aged 12 - 25 years.
Open Monday, Tuesday and Friday 2.00 pm - 5.00 pm.
Thursday 2.00 pm - 8.00 pm.

Streetwise Project - www.streetwise-yfm.com  
The Streetwise Project takes their bus to Bartley Skate Park on Friday evenings from 7.30 pm and provide an individual and group support for young people, giving them useful advice and providing a positive role model. They even provide a warm drink on a cold night.

Totton Youth Centre - Testwood Lane, Totton SO40 3ZW. This Centre is run by Hampshire County Council.

The Tower Bar - St Winfrid’s Church, Salisbury Road, Totton.
A non-alcoholic bar for young people to meet and chill out on Saturday evenings. Open most weeks during term time, between 7.00 pm and 10.00 pm.

424 (Totton) Detached Flight Air Training Corps - ATC Building, Cheam Way Recreation Park, Sutton Road, Totton SO40 3PL.
Air Cadets aged 13 to 18 years are given the chance by our team of staff and adult volunteers to learn to fly aerobatics, learn skills to expeditions, tour foreign countries, become target shooting marksmen, join a band, learn about aviation and aerospace - only a small list of the many activities and opportunities for an enviable social life with many new friends.

Parade nights Tuesday and Thursday 7.00 pm - 9.30 pm.
